Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the signing of a greenfield Taj hotel project in Patna, Bihar, with Patliputra Palace Pvt. Ltd.
IHCL has entered into an agreement to develop a Taj hotel in Patna, Bihar, as a greenfield project in partnership with Patliputra Palace Pvt. Ltd. The 500-key hotel will be located opposite Gandhi Maidan, with the River Ganges to the north of the site.
The Taj Patna will feature an all-day dining restaurant, two speciality restaurants, and a lobby lounge. Amenities will include a temperature-controlled swimming pool, fitness centre, recreational facilities, a salon, and a J Wellness Circle spa. The hotel will also offer expansive banqueting facilities, including a 16,000-square-foot ballroom and multiple meeting spaces.
With this addition, IHCL will have seven hotels in Bihar, including four under development.
Patna is home to landmarks such as Gandhi Maidan, Bapu Sabhagar, and Gol Ghar. The Taj Patna will be situated near these historical and cultural sites.
No opening date or construction timeline for the Taj Patna has been specified.
