- IHG has signed a management agreement with So Hotels LLP to develop InterContinental Kasauli, a luxury resort in Himachal Pradesh, India.

IHG Hotels & Resorts recently announced the development of its new luxury resort, InterContinental Kasauli, in Himachal Pradesh, North India. This move follows a management agreement signed with So Hotels LLP. The 130-room resort, expected to open in Q1 2029, represents a significant addition to IHG’s expanding portfolio in India.
Located in the tranquil Shivalik hills, InterContinental Kasauli offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayas. The resort is in Kasauli, a popular destination for leisure and corporate groups due to its excellent road connectivity to major cities like Chandigarh and Shimla. The property aims to cater to leisure tourists, provide a new wedding venue, and attract high-end MICE business.
Sudeep Jain, Managing Director of IHG Hotels & Resorts in South West Asia, expressed his excitement over the collaboration with So Hotels LLP. He highlighted the strategic location, picturesque views, and world-class amenities of the new hotel, which will offer an exceptional experience for travelers seeking relaxation, exclusive getaways, or business engagements.

The new resort will include around 130 guest rooms and various amenities. These include innovative Concierge Galleries, where the hotel lobby will serve as a hub of local cultural knowledge, and Incredible Occasions, designed for guests to celebrate life’s many milestones.
The announcement of InterContinental Kasauli follows the news of another resort under development by IHG, the Holiday Inn Resort Kasauli.
Currently, IHG operates 47 hotels across six brands in India, with an additional 60 hotels due to open within the next 3-5 years.
