IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of a new Garner hotel in London and the recent opening of five Garner hotels across the UK.

IHG Hotels & Resorts is expanding its Garner brand in the UK with the signing of a new hotel in London and the opening of five additional properties in key cities. This development is part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its presence in the midscale hotel segment in its largest European market.

The newly signed Garner Hotel London Paddington will be the second Garner property in the city of London. The 149-room hotel is scheduled to open in late 2026. It will be situated near Paddington Station and Hyde Park, offering an on-site restaurant and conference facilities. The property is owned by Westpoint Hotel (Hyde Park) Limited and Wholebond Properties Limited.

In addition to the new signing, five Garner hotels have recently opened in various locations across the UK. The Garner Hotel Preston Samlesbury, owned by KRO Hospitality, marked the brand’s debut in the UK and Ireland earlier this year. The hotel is situated near the M6, providing easy access to Preston and Manchester. It features 80 guestrooms, an on-site restaurant, a lounge bar, and a fitness suite.

The Garner Hotel Edinburgh – Haymarket, opened in partnership with Palm Holdings, offers 195 rooms and is located opposite Haymarket Station. The hotel provides modern accommodations and partners with local business Platform 5 for breakfast services and guest discounts.

The Garner Hotel Nottingham City Centre, owned by Harpine Investments Limited, features 100 rooms and is centrally located with access to major attractions, including Nottingham Castle. The hotel offers skyline views and modernized guest experiences.

In Reading, the Garner Hotel Reading City Centre provides 53 guestrooms and is situated next to the Oracle shopping centre, near Reading Station. The hotel includes modern conference facilities and an on-site restaurant, catering to both business and leisure travelers.

Lastly, the Garner Hotel Birmingham South East, owned by Acocks Green Management Ltd, offers 51 rooms and is located in the suburb of Acocks Green. The property provides on-site parking, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a restaurant, with proximity to Birmingham city centre, the NEC, and the airport.

Since its launch in 2023, the Garner brand has expanded globally, with over 51 hotels open and 87 in development. In the UK, there are now ten open and pipeline Garner hotels, contributing to IHG’s broader European portfolio of more than 30 open and 37 in development.
