  • IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with Gauri Resort & Banquet Services for the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Hapur, set to open in 2027.
  • The hotel will be part of a larger development encompassing more than 75,000 sq ft of MICE and social event space.

IHG Hotels & Resorts has recently announced a management agreement with Gauri Resort & Banquet Services to open Holiday Inn Express & Suites Hapur in Uttar Pradesh, India by 2027. This aligns with IHG’s strategic expansion plans in response to market demands.

The planned hotel will have 120 rooms, an all-day dining restaurant, a business center, and a dedicated meeting space. Additional amenities include a fitness center and ample parking. The hotel will be part of a larger development project, presenting over 75,000 sq ft of space intended for meetings, incentives, conferences, exhibitions (MICE), and social events.

Sudeep Jain, Managing Director, South West Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts, expressed delight over the partnership with Gauri Resort & Banquet Services. He stated that the collaboration underlines their commitment to expand in line with market needs and deliver top-notch hospitality across India. The hotel’s strategic location along NH 9 and excellent connectivity to key business hubs make it an ideal choice for both business and leisure travelers.

Hapur, in Uttar Pradesh, is a rapidly developing city known for its manufacturing prowess. The city’s evolution as an industrial hub makes it a significant destination for business travelers. The new hotel, situated along National Highway 9, will also provide easy connectivity to Ghaziabad and Meerut, catering to the demand from MICE opportunities within and nearby cities.

IHG currently operates 47 hotels across six brands in India and plans to open 60 more hotels in the next 3-5 years.
