IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement to open a 100-room Holiday Inn Resort in Lonavala, India, by 2027.

IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced a management agreement with Emproy Hospitality LLP to develop a new Holiday Inn Resort in Lonavala, India. The resort, which is scheduled to open in 2027, will feature 100 rooms and is part of IHG’s strategy to expand its presence in India’s leisure destinations.

The Holiday Inn Resort Lonavala will be located along the NH-48 Expressway, providing visibility and access for travelers. The resort will include three dining options and recreational facilities, including a swimming pool, spa, and fitness center.

This development is part of IHG’s broader expansion plan in India, where the company currently operates 51 hotels across six brands. The company has a pipeline of 72 hotels, with openings expected over the next three to five years.

The agreement with Emproy Hospitality LLP marks IHG’s continued effort to strengthen its presence in the essentials category in the Indian market. IHG’s expansion in India aligns with the growing demand for leisure and corporate retreats in the region, particularly along the Mumbai-Pune corridor.
