IHG Hotels & Resorts has entered into a management agreement with Atithi Gokul Hotel Inns Pvt Ltd to open Holiday Inn Ahmedabad in 2028.
IHG Hotels & Resorts is set to expand its portfolio in India with the addition of a new Holiday Inn in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The hotel, which is scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2028, will be developed in partnership with Atithi Gokul Hotel Inns Pvt Ltd, a local hospitality company.
The upcoming Holiday Inn Ahmedabad will feature 150 guest rooms and be part of Highline, a mixed-use development that includes residential and commercial spaces. Located strategically along the Sarkhej–Gandhinagar Highway, the hotel aims to cater to business and transient travelers, offering proximity to government institutions, educational hubs, corporate offices, and IT parks.
The new hotel’s facilities will include three dining options—an All-Day Dining restaurant, a Lobby Lounge, and one additional dining venue. The property will also offer a ballroom, fitness center, swimming pool, and ample parking space.
This new development is part of IHG’s broader strategy to increase its presence in high-potential markets across India. Ahmedabad, recognized as a major commercial and manufacturing hub in India, has contributed economically to various sectors, including textiles, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, petrochemicals, automobiles, and more. It is also noted as the country’s second-largest cotton producer and a leading gems and jewelry exporter.
Currently, IHG operates 50 hotels across six brands in India and has a strong pipeline of 63 hotels slated to open in the next three to five years.
