IHG Hotels & Resorts has launched the Masarona program to develop Saudi nationals into future leaders of the hospitality industry.

IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the introduction of Masarona, a talent development program designed to cultivate leadership skills among Saudi nationals in the hospitality sector. The program aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which aims to enhance the Kingdom’s position in the global tourism sector.

The Masarona program is designed to provide a structured career development path for Saudi employees within IHG. It includes four distinct career pathways, ranging from entry-level positions to senior leadership roles. Participants in the program will engage in a combination of accredited academic courses, hands-on training, and mentorship from senior leaders within IHG. Additionally, the program offers opportunities for cross-functional and international exposure within IHG’s global operations.

The initiative is open to both current IHG employees and new hires who are Saudi nationals. It aims to support the growth of local talent and contribute to the sustainable development of Saudi Arabia’s tourism industry. The program is part of IHG’s broader commitment to developing local talent, which includes existing initiatives such as IHG University and IHG Academy. These programs offer ongoing educational resources and collaborate with local institutions to cultivate future hospitality leaders.

Masarona is expected to enhance IHG’s workforce in Saudi Arabia, where nearly half of its employees are Saudi nationals. The program is also designed to enhance IHG’s presence in the region and support the Kingdom’s ambitious tourism objectives.
