HG Hotels & Resorts has expanded its Vignette Collection with the addition of the Shanghai Snow World Hotel, located in the world’s largest indoor snow center, Shanghai L+SNOW Indoor Skiing Theme Resort. The hotel, now open, offers 272 rooms and 17 suites, all with direct access to over 90,000 square meters of year-round indoor snow.
The Shanghai Snow World Hotel is China’s first new Vignette Collection property. Together with the Crowne Plaza Shanghai Snow, it is one of two IHG hotels within the Shanghai L+SNOW Indoor Skiing Theme Resort. Both hotels cater to the increasing demand for snow-themed accommodations in China, which is growing at 38% annually, according to the China Tourism Academy.
Located just 30km from Shanghai Disney and Pudong Airport, Shanghai Snow World Hotel aims to attract ski enthusiasts and those seeking snow-themed escapades. Guests can easily access ski slopes, indoor and outdoor water parks, and a tournament-level ice rink. The hotel also features four distinct restaurants and bars that offer a variety of local and international cuisines.
The hotel’s third floor features eight versatile meeting rooms for business and leisure events. Additionally, guests can use a state-of-the-art fitness center and an indoor heated swimming pool.
The Shanghai Snow World Hotel is one of several unique hotels joining the Vignette Collection in 2024 and 2025. Introduced three years ago, the collection is more than halfway to its goal of having 100 hotels open or in development within a decade. The Shanghai Snow World Hotel is the 19th Vignette Collection property now open worldwide, with 34 more in the pipeline.
Shanghai Snow World Hotel also operates a community engagement initiative called “Assistance Program for Youth in Need” in partnership with the Shanghai Lingang Public Welfare Foundation. This program aims to support underprivileged young individuals in the local community through public service seminars, skills training, and other initiatives.
The Vignette Collection is part of IHG’s Luxury and Lifestyle brand portfolio, which includes over 500 hotels. It is designed to offer unique experiences to guests while benefiting from IHG’s global scale and enterprise offerings.
