IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of voco Bangkok Surawong, the first voco hotel in Thailand. The property is located on Surawong Road, a central Bangkok thoroughfare known for its proximity to the Silom district, Sathorn’s corporate hub, and Siam’s shopping and entertainment venues.

The hotel features 244 guestrooms and suites, designed with sustainability in mind. The rooms include pillows and duvet fillings made from recycled materials and bath amenities sourced from Antipodes, a New Zealand brand. The hotel’s design incorporates elements of Brutalist modernism, with architecture by the Thai firm A49 and interior design by P49 Deesign.

Dining options at voco Bangkok Surawong include three restaurants and bars:

– Tasca Sabio: A Spanish-inspired restaurant offering Mediterranean flavors and small plates.

– Deckles Smokehouse: An all-day dining venue featuring smoked dishes and craft cocktails.

Additional facilities include a lap pool, a 24-hour fitness center, and an onsen spa. The hotel also provides event spaces, including a ballroom with a capacity of 200 guests and four meeting rooms equipped with modern audiovisual technology.

The opening of voco Bangkok Surawong is part of IHG’s expansion strategy for the voco brand, which launched in 2018. As of September 2025, the brand has 117 open hotels and 108 more in development globally.
