IHG Hotels & Resorts announced the signing of Six Senses Camp Korongo, a 480-acre resort and residential development located near Kanab in southern Utah. The project is scheduled to open in 2029.
The development will include 41 tented pavilions and 12 branded residences. The site is positioned near several national parks, including Zion, Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon, and Arches. The project is a collaboration with Canyon Global Partners, with architecture and design by Luxury Frontiers.
Six Senses Camp Korongo is part of IHG’s expansion of its luxury and lifestyle portfolio in the Americas. The resort will be the first Six Senses property in southern Utah and is among several forthcoming Six Senses locations in the region, including projects in Mexico, Belize, Pennsylvania, and Colorado.
The resort will be designed with nature-centric and sustainable principles. The location was selected for its proximity to natural landmarks and its desert landscape. The project will also include a Six Senses Spa.
IHG reports that luxury and lifestyle-branded hotels account for 22 percent of its global pipeline, with nearly 300 open and pipeline properties in the Americas as of the third quarter of 2025. Planned 2026 openings in the Americas include InterContinental properties in Grenada and Palm Springs, Kimpton hotels in New York City, Mexico City, Riviera Maya, and Pacific Grove, as well as Vignette Collection hotels in Miami, Santo Domingo, and Valladolid.
No additional details regarding investment figures or construction timelines were provided in the announcement.
