IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the expansion of its UK & Ireland portfolio with the addition of the Hotel Indigo Torquay. This 153-room hotel, in partnership with The Fragrance Group, will mark the 26th Hotel Indigo in the region.

The hotel is situated in Devon, in the Southwest of England, and is expected to open in the second half of 2025. It will be part of the larger resort of Torbay, known as The English Riviera, which also includes the towns of Paignton and Brixham. The location makes the hotel attractive for domestic and international travellers seeking a seaside holiday or short break.

Hotel Indigo Torquay is designed to give guests memorable stays, entrenched in the neighborhood’s individuality. It offers a range of facilities, including a stylish rooftop bar, sea-facing terraces, and a ground-floor restaurant and bar, all of which provide views of Torbay, the beaches, harbour, and marina. Additional amenities include a well-equipped gym and an on-site spa offering a range of treatments.

This agreement with The Fragrance Group marks the hotel company’s ongoing commitment to expanding its portfolio in the UK & Ireland’s leisure market. The Hotel Indigo Torquay will join 19 open Hotel Indigos in this market, as well as six properties currently under development, including Hotel Indigo London – Clerkenwell and Hotel Indigo Leeds, both of which are due to open in Q2 2025.

IHG Hotels & Resorts operates 363 hotels in the UK and Ireland region, with an additional 33 in development.
