IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement to open its first Kimpton hotel in the UAE in partnership with API Hotels & Resorts.
IHG Hotels & Resorts has confirmed plans to open a Kimpton-branded hotel in Dubai. The property, which is expected to welcome guests from early 2026, will be located in the city’s fast-growing business and lifestyle hub. This marks the first UAE hotel under the Kimpton brand.
The upcoming hotel will be near the iconic Business Bay Canal, minutes from popular landmarks such as the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall. The area has already gained a reputation as an attractive destination for both business and leisure, drawing a diverse crowd of residents, tourists, and professionals.
The Dubai Kimpton Hotel will feature 280 guest rooms, including standard rooms and suites. The hotel will also offer three unique dining options and seven adaptable meeting spaces, including a ballroom. Emphasizing wellness and leisure, the property will provide a rooftop swimming pool, a spa, a fitness center, curated retail outlets, and ample parking. The hotel is also expected to uphold Kimpton’s reputation for innovative culinary offerings, focusing on delivering exceptional food and beverage experiences.
This new project signifies the second collaboration between IHG and API Hotels & Resorts, following the InterContinental Residences Dubai Business Bay’s inauguration in September 2024. IHG had previously signed a management agreement to introduce the Kimpton brand in Riyadh, marking the brand’s initial entry into the Middle East.
The Kimpton Dubai is part of IHG’s ongoing expansion in the Middle East, with the group currently operating over 122 hotels across nine countries in the region. The group’s portfolio includes nine core brands, including Six Senses, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Vignette Collection, and Hotel Indigo in the luxury and lifestyle collections; Crowne Plaza and voco in the premium collections; Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express in essentials collections; and Staybridge Suites in the suites collections.
