Maher danced to “Femininomenon” for her freestyle during the finale episode, rocking the stage in a bedazzled bodysuit and matching heels. She earned her first perfect score for the season for this dance, wowing the judges.
Before the winner was decided, the Olympic bronze medalist talked about what the trophy would mean to her if she and dance partner Alan Bersten won, saying, “The mirrorball won’t be so much for me.”
“I think it’ll be for all the girls who’ve been told they’re too big or they’re too muscular and they’re not pretty,” she went on.
Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson eventually won the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy in the finale of DWTS.
