Raffles Hotels & Resorts announces the opening of Raffles Sentosa Singapore, the country’s first all-villa resort. The property, set within 100,000 square meters of tropical greenery on Sentosa Island, promises a serene retreat steeped in natural beauty and holistic wellness.
Raffles Hotels & Resorts has unveiled Raffles Sentosa Singapore, the first all-villa resort in the country. Developed in partnership with the Royal Group, the property is in the heart of Sentosa Island and encompasses 100,000 square meters of tropical greenery.
The resort, designed by Yabu Pushelberg, features 62 villas, each equipped with a private pool and outdoor terrace. The accommodations range in size from a one-bedroom 211-square-metre villa to the expansive four-bedroom 650-square-metre Royal Villa. The resort’s design highlights natural materials and intricate textures, providing a harmonious balance between indoor and outdoor living spaces and offering guests an intimate connection with the surrounding nature.
Raffles Sentosa Singapore is a testament to the brand’s commitment to holistic well-being, emphasizing tranquility and relaxation. The Raffles Sentosa Spa, located in a renovated heritage building, comprises 13 treatment rooms and offers a comprehensive wellness journey, incorporating mindfulness, massage, fitness, and hydrotherapy.
The resort also has five dining venues, offering a diverse range of global cuisines. For example, Empire Grill presents modern Italian cuisine, Royal China serves refined Cantonese dishes, and Iyasaka by Hashida offers a unique Japanese omakase dining experience. The resort also pays homage to speakeasies of the past with the Chairman’s Room, a sophisticated lounge offering a curated selection of whiskies, cognac, and fine wines.
Raffles Sentosa Singapore also introduces the Sentosa Sling, a unique twist on the legendary Singapore Sling, which was created at the original Raffles Singapore in 1915. This new cocktail highlights the resort’s emphasis on sustainability, being made with upcycled watermelon skin from the resort’s kitchens and lemon leaves grown in the gardens.
Moreover, the resort is set to be a new venue for weddings and events, with its state-of-the-art ballrooms and enchanting natural backdrop. The larger of its ballrooms can accommodate up to 400 guests for banquets.
Raffles Sentosa Singapore marks the second property of the Raffles brand in Singapore. The first was Raffles Singapore, which debuted in 1887 and remains an icon of the destination.
