If the days feel a little longer, hopefully that’s because they are: At least in the U.S., daylight saving time is upon us. That comes with losing an hour yesterday, but gaining an hour of light at the end of our days (which will eventually feel really good, and not just like you’re running an hour behind). Bless up!

While we wait for the sun to creep out for more and more of the day, why not fill our hearts and evenings with more TV, huh? This week’s list includes appointment television, in the oldest sense of the phrase, with John Mulaney’s new talk show premiering (as the name suggests) live at 10 p.m. EDT/7 p.m. PDT. But you might also find yourself a bit behind the cultural zeitgeist if you’re not watching the bombastic Invincible finale or Brian Tyree Henry’s return to TV.

Here’s the best new TV premieres and finales for this week.

Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney

Genre: Offbeat talk show (live, as you might’ve guessed)
Release date: March 12 at 7 p.m. PDT
Host: John Mulaney

John Mulaney is bringing his Everybody’s in LA talk show format to everyone. Technically, when it was streaming during the Netflix Is a Joke festival, his original talk show was already something anyone could watch, but the jokes (as you might be able to see from the clip of the LA version) were tailored to those in the know (and/or the greater LA metro area). Now, he’s doing a once-a-week talk show with hopefully the same offbeat format. Let’s see how it goes!

The Wheel of Time season 3

Showrunner/creator: Rafe Judkins
Cast: Josha Stradowski, Rosamund Pike, Madeleine Madden, and more

Rand (Josha Stradowski) is finally ready to take up the mantle as the Dragon Reborn — which means he’s going to have to train. Season 3 of Prime Video’s fantasy show is picking up with his adventures there, all amid a power scrabble among the Aes Sedai.

Invincible season 3 finale

Image: Prime Video

Genre: Animated superhero
Release date: March 13
Showrunner/creator: Robert Kirkman
Cast: Steven Yeun, Sandra Oh, Gillian Jacobs, and more

Mark (Steven Yeun) has had a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. And, to bring the third season home, he’s going to keep his streak going and fight one of the most powerful Viltrumites in the galaxy (so: one of the most powerful beings in the galaxy). Should go great!

Genre: Murder mystery
Release date: March 13
Showrunners/creators: Liz Moore and Nikki Toscano
Cast: Amanda Seyfried, Nicholas Pinnock, Ashleigh Cummings, and more

Mickey (Amanda Seyfried) is doing her best as a police officer trying to do her part in her community. But when a serial killer starts preying on young women at the same time her sister goes missing, the fragile peace Mickey is holding together starts to fall apart.
