Is Shoprite Open on Fourth of July?

Say it louder for the people in the back: YES! ShopRite will absolutely be open on the Fourth of July for all your grocery needs. As a longtime staple of the East Coast grocery scene, ShopRite does its best to stay accessible, especially on busy holidays like Independence Day.

That said, hours can vary by location. Depending on your region, some stores may open extra early, stay open later than usual or even operate 24 hours. So before you head out, it’s worth checking your local store’s hours to be sure. To make things easier, ShopRite has put together a handy list of locations and their Fourth of July hours here.

What are Shoprite July Fourth Hours?

According to ShopRite’s detailed list, many locations will open as early as 6:00 am on the Fourth of July—especially stores in Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland and New Jersey—with some New Jersey locations, like Rockaway and Elizabeth, open 24 hours. Most stores will close between 6:00 pm and midnight, though a handful in Connecticut, Maryland and New Jersey may shut their doors as early as 4:00 pm.

If you happen to be in New Jersey, you’ve got one of the best shots at finding a store open nearby—how’s that for a little holiday luck? Otherwise, if you have a specific location in mind, it’s best to err on the side of caution and call ahead to confirm their hours. Nobody wants to get caught in a pickle on the big day while in dire need of supplies. Better to be eating that pickle instead while cooking up hot dogs and hamburgers on the barbie.
