Who is Virginia Giuffre?
Giuffre is an outspoken advocate against sex trafficking. The California native was an alleged victim in Epstein’s sex trafficking ring, and has given detailed accounts of allegedly being trafficked by Epstein and his associate, Ghislaine Maxwell. Giuffre was reportedly recruited by Maxwell when she was 15 while working at Mar-a-Lago in Florida, per an Australian news outlet.
Giuffre previously alleged that she had her first encounter with Prince Andrew through Epstein and Maxwell when she was 17 years old in 1999, claiming she had sex with the former royal in London at Maxwell’s home. She also claimed they had sex in New York City and Epstein’s private Caribbean island. (Andrew has repeatedly denied the claims, including ever meeting Giuffre.)
She founded Victims Refuse Silence, a non-profit organization, in 2015. The organization was relaunched as Speak Out, Act, Reclaim (SOAR) in November 2021.
Is Virginia Giuffre married?
Giuffre married Australian Robert Giuffre in 2002 after the pair reportedly met in Thailand. Together, they share three children: two sons and one daughter.

Per Giuffre’s Instagram account, it appears that the anniversary post was the last time she posted about her husband. According to BBC, the pair recently separated after 22 years of marriage.
What happened to Virginia Giuffre?
In a March 30, 2025, Instagram post, Giuffre said that she only had a handful of days to live after being hit by a bus at a high speed.
“This year has been the worst start to a new year, but I won’t bore anyone with the details but I think it important to note that when a school bus driver comes at you driving 110km as we were slowing for a turn that no matter what your car is made of it might as well be a tin can,” she captioned a photo of herself lying in a hospital bed with a bruised face. “I’ve gone into kidney renal failure, they’ve given me four days to live, transferring me to a specialist hospital in urology.”
She added: “I’m ready to go, just not until I see my babies one last time, but you know what they say about wishes. S**T in one hand and wish in the other & I guarantee it’s still going to be s**t at the end of the day. Thank you all for being the wonderful people of the world and for being a great part of my life. Godbless you all xx Virginia.”
