ITB Berlin 2026 will expand its Medical & Health Tourism Pavilion in Hall 4.1, introducing new exhibitors, program formats, and two awards from 3 to 5 March 2026.
The Medical & Health Tourism Pavilion at ITB Berlin 2026 will expand in Hall 4.1, bringing together international exhibitors, European partners, and, for the first time, Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. The event will take place from 3 to 5 March 2026. New program formats focusing on medical care, prevention, and longevity will be introduced, along with networking opportunities and a dedicated stage program. For the first time, two awards will be presented in this segment.
The pavilion will feature new and returning exhibitors. Crescent Meditours will present a network of 20 clinics from India. Astana Tourism will be represented by four clinics from Kazakhstan and will act as a supporting partner of the pavilion. Health Croatia will participate for the third consecutive year, increasing its display size and bringing 12 healthcare partners from Croatia. Bulgaria will have its own stand for the first time and will also serve as a supporting partner. The Health Tourism Association from Saudi Arabia is a new exhibitor. Gremi Clinic from Albania and Bangkok Hospital from Thailand will return to the pavilion.
The European Historic Thermal Towns Association will present three new thermal destinations: Spa (Belgium), Baden (Switzerland), and Viterbo (Italy). The European Spas Association will focus on future topics and the scientific backgrounds of current industry trends. Scheduled panels include “Longevity, Regeneration & Prevention: Beyond the Buzzwords,” which will address the role of thermal medicine in preventive care, natural remedies, and climate therapy, supported by evidence from European spas.
The session “Nature-Based Health: From Trend to Treatment” will examine the transition from nature-based health products to therapeutic approaches, including green care and forest therapy, as well as established methods such as thalassotherapy, climate therapy, and balneology. Another format, “Digital Health Meets Thermal Health,” will explore the intersection of digital solutions and traditional healthcare. The Health Tourism Industry will have its own stand, and the European Health & Medical Tourism Association will participate for the first time.
Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin will be a partner in the stage events program at the Medical & Health Tourism Pavilion for the first time. The institution will deliver a presentation and participate in a panel discussion to highlight its involvement in Saudi Arabia.
In 2026, two awards will be presented for the first time. The ITB Medical Tourism Award 2026 will go to Visit Düsseldorf, while the ITB Health Tourism Award 2026 will go to Italy. The awards will be judged by an international jury.
The program includes the Official Opening & Medical Media Networking Lunch on Tuesday, 3 March, from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. in Hall 4.1, supported by Visit Astana and Visit Bulgaria. On the same day, from 5 to 7 p.m., the ITB Medical & Health Networking Reception will take place in Hall 4.1. On Wednesday, 4 March, from 7 to 10 p.m., the ITB Medical & Health Night and the presentation of the ITB Medical & Health Tourism Awards 2026 will be held at KPM Hotel, Berlin. Media representatives are required to register for these events.
