The ITB Berlin Convention 2026 will take place from March 3-5, with a focus on sustainable business models and industry challenges.

The ITB Berlin Convention 2026 is set to take place from March 3-5, marking its 60th anniversary and focusing on sustainable tourism under the theme “Leading Tourism into Balance.” The event will feature approximately 400 international speakers discussing key issues affecting the global tourism industry across 17 thematic tracks on four stages.

The convention will address topics such as overtourism, data management, artificial intelligence, and climate adaptation. It aims to explore innovative concepts that involve various stakeholders and reconcile differing viewpoints within the tourism sector. Discussions will include how destinations are managing overtourism and the opportunities that data management and AI present.

The event will also feature the ITB Transition Lab, which will provide detailed analyses of current corporate strategies, with a focus on the importance of indices and key performance indicators. The ITB Deep Dives will offer in-depth analysis of the latest topics, aiming to produce practical ideas and solutions for participants.

The Hospitality Track will be a significant part of the convention, starting on ITB Tuesday on the Green Stage and continuing with the Hospitality Tech Track on the eTravel Stage. This segment will focus on the latest developments and innovations in the hotel and hospitality industry. Airbnb will participate as an official partner, contributing additional perspectives to the hospitality discussions.

The convention will also continue its focus on diversity and inclusion within the travel industry. It will conduct a market survey on the risks faced by LGBTQ travelers, in collaboration with A3M Global Monitoring and Diversity Tourism. The survey will gather personal views and experiences from this demographic at travel destinations.
