The Jadran Hotel in Rijeka, Croatia, is set to rebrand as a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, a part of Marriott International. This move follows an agreement between the hotel’s current owner, Jadran Hotel Rijeka, and Marriott International. This rebranding marks the first Tribute Portfolio hotel in Croatia.

Rijeka is a gateway to the Croatian islands located on the Kvarner Bay in the northern Adriatic. Jadran Hoteli Rijeka, majority-owned by Gold Tree Hospitality, owns and manages the hotel property in the Setaliste XIII division. The Jadran Hotel has been serving guests since 1914.

Under the new brand, the hotel will feature 70 rooms, a unique food and beverage concept, an expanded fitness area, and a beach bar. The renovation and rebranding process is expected to be completed by early 2025.

Stefan Catic, Head of Operator Search at the PKF hospitality group, the rebranding partner, stated that the Tribute Portfolio brand would significantly enhance the hotel. He noted that international travelers increasingly seek hotels with international standards that retain the charm of individual boutique hotels.

Kristian Sustar, CEO of Jadran Hoteli Rijeka, views the contract signing as the start of a new journey. He highlighted their plans to enrich Rijeka’s tourist offerings with a commitment to excellence, sustainability, and authentic experiences.

Silvija Lovreta, Vice President of Development for Central and South Eastern Europe at Marriott International, expressed excitement about working with Jadran Hotel Rijeka on opening the first Tribute Portfolio hotel in Croatia.

Marriott International’s Tribute Portfolio brand operates over 120 hotels in more than 25 countries.
