Jamie Oliver and Jennifer Aniston go way back.

The celebrity chef, 49, opened up about the pair’s history and how they connected while chatting exclusively with Parade amid the 10th anniversary season premiere of Netflix’s Chef’s Table: Legends at a private luncheon at Thomas Keller’s Ad Hoc & French Laundry establishments in Napa Valley, Calif., on Thursday, May 1. In one of the new episodes, Oliver casually showed off a handwritten note from Aniston, 56, when she was married to now ex-husband Brad Pitt

“It was Brad’s 40th birthday present from Jen, and that’s the first time I met her,” he begins. “She actually called the restaurant a couple of times, and I think we thought it was like a hoax, so I think the phone was put down a few times. But we got in contact. I don’t do private hires for special people. I just never have, but I do do things for people that I love and admire, and I love and admire both of them.”

He continues: “So, I came over and did his dinner party for his 40th, back in the day, and I’ve stayed in touch with Jen. She is as good and as gorgeous and wonderful and more than you would expect.”

Aniston’s note wasn’t the only thing that made a special appearance in Oliver’s episode. His wife Juliette Norton was also featured, and Oliver couldn’t help but sing her praises while revealing some of her favorite dishes he makes for her.

“She really loves, like, beautiful roasted meats, gorgeous vegetables, little sauces and salsas and things to go with it,” he says, adding that she’s also up for “the more adventurous stuff, like curries and sort of interesting lightly spiced dishes from different countries that I do.”

He explains: “She’s a good eater. She’s a great customer. She’s pretty open.”

Season 10 of Chef’s Table: Legends is now available to stream on Netflix.
