Jedidiah Duggar and Wife Welcome Twins: See the First Photo of Their Baby Girls

Congratulations are in order as Jedidiah Duggar and his wife, Katey, have officially welcomed twins!

On Thursday, Jan. 9,  the former Counting On stars took to Instagram to announce the births of their twin daughters.

“They’re here!! 💕Introducing Elsie Kate and Emma Kate!” the proud parents wrote. “Elsie was born on January 8, 2025, at 2:06 p.m., weighing 6 pounds, 14 ounces, and Emma followed at 2:13 p.m., weighing 7 pounds, 2 ounce[s]. Both girls are healthy and beautiful!”

In addition to revealing the babies’ names and birth stats, Katey posted the first photos of her newborn daughters. The featured image showed the twins swaddled in blankets while lying in a hospital bassinet. Later in the carousel was a shot of the new family of six. 

Jed and Katey’s baby girls were welcomed home by two older siblings, a big brother named Truett, who turns 3 in May, and an older sister, Nora, 19 months.

Excited followers flooded the Instagram comments with kind words, with one writing, “Congratulations!!!! 😭😍💕🥰 They are perfection!!!!!! I’m smitten! 🥹.”

Another fan declared, “Omgosh I’m so happy for you congratulations on the girls they are beautiful.”

“So happy for you guys!! Congrats to all 6 of you!” someone else shared.

Meanwhile, a different Instagram user wondered, “All the girls have the same middle name then?” (Yes, Nora’s middle name is also Kate.)

In July 2024, Katey and Jed revealed they were expecting two little girls.

“We are overjoyed to announce that we have twin girls on the way!” they wrote on Instagram.

Jed, the son of Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar, added, “As a twin myself, I’m especially thrilled to welcome these double blessings into our family! The bond between twins is truly special, and I can’t wait to see them grow and experience life together.”

(Jed’s twin brother is Jeremiah Duggar, who is expecting baby No. 3 with his wife, Hannah.)

Although the Duggar family’s TLC show was canceled in 2020, the siblings are certainly living up to its title by “counting on.” Congrats to Jed and Katey on their newest arrivals!
