Jelly Roll is feeling a little emotional and ready to cry happy tears over his latest career update. 

On Wednesday, Sept. 18, the “I Am Not Okay” crooner took to his Instagram page to celebrate some pretty big news: He’s headed to the Saturday Night Live stage to help kick off Season 50 later this month!

“The premiere of the 50th season of SNL. BRB going to cry for a few hours and call every family member I have,” the 39-year-old wrote in the caption of his recent post that featured a promo photo of the premiere episode, which is to be hosted by Jean Smart

“Bringing therapeutic music to my favorite show ever,” Jelly Roll added, concluding with a simple message of gratitude: “God is Good.”

Fans immediately began congratulating the artist–born Jason DeFord–and overwhelmed the comments with good luck wishes. 

“I been dreaming of this one 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼,” one ecstatic fan confessed.

“Wow. 😍 What a ride it continues to be for you,” another shared.

“so proud!!!!!!!” a third gushed. “Let’s f—in’ go bub 🤟🏻.”

“Dawg! This is it! The pinnacle! Incredible my bro!” someone else exclaimed. “Congratulations in the realest way!”

“You deserve every good thing that’s coming to you!!!!!!!!💫💫💫,” a different fan declared.

Those looking to catch the Hacks star and “Son of a Sinner” singer’s debut on the NBC sketch comedy series can tune into the SNL Season 50 premiere on Saturday, Sept. 28.

Loyal viewers can also set their calendars for the following four episodes, which will feature Nate Bargatze with a performance by Coldplay (Oct. 5), Ariana Grande and Stevie Nicks (Oct. 12), Michael Keaton with Billie Eilish (Oct. 19) followed by John Mulaney and rising pop superstar Chappell Roan (Nov. 2).

The network also confirmed it has plans to honor SNL‘s milestone 50th anniversary the third weekend of February, with a three-hour live primetime special to air the evening of Sunday, Feb. 16.
