Jelly Roll took a moment to celebrate a major career achievement by sending a sweet message to his fans on Saturday, Sept. 28.

The country music star kicked off a busy weekend in New York City by playing his first-ever sold-out show at Madison Square Garden on Friday, Sept. 27. On Saturday, he is slated to be the musical guest for the 50th season premiere of Saturday Night Live.

Jelly Roll, born Jason DeFord, shared a video montage on Instagram that compiled some of the major moments from his performance at what he called the “world’s most famous arena.” The video began with the 39-year-old entering the venue before the crowds of concertgoers arrived and later celebrating backstage. He also shared moments featuring some of the guests he’d invited onstage to join him, including Post Malone, Busta Rhymes, Jessie Murph and Alexandra Kay.

“We sold out Madison Square Garden with the absolute goats,” Jelly Roll wrote in his Instagram caption. “Thank you all, you’ve changed my life.”

The “Wild Ones” singer’s wife, podcaster Bunnie Xo, also celebrated her husband’s achievement with a proud post on Instagram.

“My maestro of melancholy.. 🥀 There is nothing you can’t do,” her post read in part. “I told you the first night I met you & I’ll say it again- ‘You are so special.’”

Fans applauded Jelly Roll’s achievement on social media, with many dubbing the milestone “LEGENDARY!!!!”

“WAY TO GO JELLY ROLL!!!!!!! You are making the world a better place and saving lives!” one fan wrote.

“Congratulations you are so worthy on all your success, you are very talented enjoy your ride,” an Instagram user commented as another said Jelly Roll’s Madison Square Garden performance was “one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen in my entire life.”

Jelly Roll’s video ended with him excitedly declaring, “Next stop: Saturday Night Live!” The comedy sketch show first announced earlier this month that the “I Am Not Okay” crooner would be the first musical guest of its 50th season. Jelly Roll’s reaction at the time was to tell his fans he was “going to cry for a few hours and call every family member I have” as he anticipated performing on “my favorite show ever.”
