Since Beyond the Gates premiered, nurse Ashley Morgan’s love life has been anything but simple and straight forward. Caught between her firefighter boyfriend’s impulsive choices and a flirtation with globe-trotting photographer. This week, actress Jen Jacob, who plays Ashley, took to social media to share her thoughts on the emotional scenes airing on the CBS daytime drama.
On her Instagram account, Jacob shared a clip from the November 6, 2025 episode, and opened up about what filming those moments meant to her. “When I was in college I went to a boys’ apartment and told him that I loved him,” she wrote. “He told me I was too late. I’ll never forget that moment. Not because of how much it hurt. But because of how brave I was. It’s not about how long it takes you to get brave. It’s about arriving there when you’re ready.”
Jacob went on to praise her co-star Sean Freeman, who plays Andre Richardson, one of Ashely’s on-screen love interest. “Sean Freeman, there could never have been a better scene partner that day,” she said. “Ash and I are so lucky.”
Jacob hinted that Ashley and Andre’s story may not be over just yet. “We’ll have to wait and see what happens for these two,” she teased. “But for now, all I can say..is be true to yourselves, love bugs. Nothing else matters. A+A you two are the epitome of passing 🚢 . Hope your seas are full of … whatever chaos these writers have in store next.”

In the comment section of Jacob’s post, several co-stars showed their support. Freeman replied, “It is always a pleasure. Keep bringing that heat! And IKR?? “whatever chaos these writers have in store next” 🔥🔥🔥👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾” to which she responded, “only love bud ❤️.”
