Jeremy Renner talks about snow plow incident

Jeremy Renner sat down for his first interview since the New Year’s Day accident that may have killed him.
The trailer for ‘Jeremy Renner: Diane Sawyer Interview — A Tale of Fear, Survival, and Victory’ was released Wednesday. In it, Renner recounts being crushed by a snowplow he was driving near his home in Nevada on New Year’s Day.
Sawyer asked if he remembered the pain of being run over by a seven-ton snowmobile, to which Renner replied.
The interview also includes a poignant moment with Renner’s nephew who was trying to save himself from being hit by a machine when an accident occurred.
Renner told Sawyer that he was not going to change what had happened.
“Yeah, I hit my nephew, so I’ll do it again,” he said.
Sawyer read out Renner’s string of injuries, including eight rib fractures in 14 places, a broken eye socket, a collapsed lung and a liver impaled through a rib.
Recently, the actor said he looked in the mirror and saw a “lucky guy.”
“I lost a lot of flesh and bone in this experience, but I was fueled and replenished with love and titanium,” Renner said.
“Jeremy Renner: An Interview With Diane Sawyer — A Tale Of Fear, Survival And Triumph” will air Thursday, April 6 at 10 p.m. ET on ABC and stream the following day on Hulu.
