Jif is debuting a brand-new peanut-buttery snack option that’s already turning heads—and fans of the iconic creamy (or crunchy—have it your way) spread can’t wait to get their hands on it. It was announced that the food company is collaborating with Pop Daddy Snacks for an irresistible new release: Jif Peanut Butter Flavored Dipped Pretzels.
First presented to the public via social media in May, the poppable bites are a “bold snack made with big heart,” according to the packaging. “Two pantry legends. One ridiculously good idea. Introducing JIF® x Pop Daddy Peanut Butter Flavored DIPPED Pretzels,” an Instagram post was captioned.
Online, the official description makes it sound even more like a must-try item. “JIF® meets pretzels in this salty-sweet snack collaboration made for peanut butter lovers. Crunchy pretzels are dipped in a smooth, peanut buttery coating inspired by the iconic JIF® flavor for the perfect balance of creamy and crunchy,” it notes on popdaddysnacks.com.
A 3-pack of the bagged snacks—each 7.5-ounces—retails for a steep $27, which is around $9 per bag. Plus, the specialty item has an additional mailing fee: “US Flat Rate Shipping: $9.99,” with free shipping not offered until customers hit $50.
Still, it’s a pretty penny some peanut butter lovers are willing to pay. Early reviews are calling the snack “amazing” and “a perfect combination” of flavors. “The peanut butter is on top of the pretzel and [sic] is so creamy and [sic] tasty,” one such reviewer wrote, adding that they “highly recommend” the snack.
“They are a 10 STAR! Excellent flavor. One bag already gone! Will definitely be ordering more today!! They won’t last long,” another followed up.
Earlier this month, before fully sharing what they were up to, the brands teased the forthcoming release with an enticing note: “Some things just belong together.
