Jimmy Fallon Gets the QVC Wig He Was Promised After Viral ‘Blowout’ Gaffe

Jimmy Fallon got more than a laugh out of Toni Brattin’s viral QVC “blowout” gaffe. He got the wig.

Brattin, the wig designer who accidentally said “blow job” instead of “blowout” while demonstrating one of her hairpieces on live television, appeared on The Tonight Show Monday after Fallon poked fun at the viral moment during his monologue.

And she didn’t arrive empty-handed.

After seeing Fallon’s joke about the mishap, Brattin told TMZ she had saved one of her wigs specifically for the late-night host and offered to bring it to him for his upcoming birthday. Fallon got his birthday present a little early when Brattin showed up on The Tonight Show with the promised Salon Select wig in hand.

“My birthday is actually coming up … and oh my,” Fallon said before Brattin surprised him with the wig.

“Toni Brattin!” Fallon exclaimed as he started losing it onstage. Brattin, meanwhile, confidently stood beside him, swinging the wig around with one hand as Fallon dissolved into laughter.

“I think that you handled that perfectly, by the way. You really nailed it,” Fallon told her. “Did you just think you were off screen?”

“Well, you know, I kind of froze and I was trying to decide, do I go to the left? Do I go to the right? I just went down,” Brattin replied, sending the audience into another round of laughter.

Fallon then turned his attention to the wig.

“Is that wig for me?” he asked.

Brattin confirmed it was the famous Salon Select before Fallon asked her to help him try it on.

“Salon Select. You say this is for me. Would you do me the honors?” Fallon asked.

“Can I?” Brattin replied before helping him fit the wig onstage.

“Oh, look at all that hair,” Brattin exclaimed as she fluffed the wig atop Fallon’s head. “And how about the volume in the back?”

Fallon was clearly sold.

“I love it,” he said. “I’m honored.”

The wig wasn’t just a birthday gift, either. Fallon enlisted Brattin to help kick off the show, having her read the opening introduction in her own style before The Roots launched into the theme.
