Joan Collins was engaged in a bit of a struggle with Mother Nature in the latest video that the 91-year-old shared with her social media followers.
The English actress appeared to be on a terrace outside her home at the time that the video was filmed. She was busy watering the outdoor plants that she cares for, a task she deemed necessary due to the day’s sunny weather.

The video, which Collins shared on Instagram on Saturday, Oct. 5, began with a close-up view of a green watering can that she was using to freshen up some pink flowers.
“Wow,” the Dynasty star said, drawing out the word as wind gusts were heard in the background. “It’s so windy, but the sun is shining,” she observed, tilting her head back as she cast a glance skyward, her eyes protected by a large pair of dark sunglasses. She battled the wind a bit with her hand, struggling to keep her hair in place as the breeze swept tendrils around her head. “I have to water all of my plants, because otherwise they will die,” she noted.
Though the actress acknowledged it was “a beautiful day,” the wind was visibly disrupting the hairstyle she’d chosen for the trip outside. “It’s much too windy for me,” she said with a laugh.
Aside from her struggles with the wind, Collins seemed to be dressed for the fall weather, appearing in the video wearing a white and navy striped sweater and dark pants. The cozy look marked a seasonal shift from the swimsuits she was often spotted wearing over the summer as she enjoyed time away from home in Saint-Tropez, France.
Fans reacted to the video with praise for Collins’ attitude—“Love to see your sense of humor,” one person wrote—and her appearance, with one noting that she looks “always gorgeous” even while the wind is messing with her hair.
