The talent agency announced the news on Feb. 3, sharing a photo of Biden on social media alongside a statement from Richard Lovett, co-chairman of CAA.

Lovett said of the move, “President Biden is one of America’s most respected and influential voices in national and global affairs. His lifelong commitment to public service is one of unity, optimism, dignity, and possibility. We are profoundly honored to partner with him again.”

CAA previously represented Biden between 2017 and 2020. In 2017, Biden released his memoir Promise Me, Dad: A Year of Hope, Hardship, and Purpose, while also embarking on his American Promise book tour.

While the announcement might mean that Biden has another book in the works or more speaking engagements coming up, fans had a few other ideas about what his choice to join the talent agency might mean.

Some joked that he would venture into the acting industry, theorizing on X, “He is going to be on euphoria as a student,” and, “He’s replacing Nicole Scherzinger in SUNSET BLVD.”

Another quipped, “Catch joe winning aoty next year,” while other great responses included, “He’s going on traitors,” “So a trump diss track, 15 weeks at #1,” and “i wonder what he’s gonna perform on his tiny desk omg.”

The announcement comes just over two weeks after Donald Trump‘s presidential inauguration on Jan. 20.
