Back in 1999 NBC launched the cultural phenomenon that would be Passions, a supernatural daytime drama that brought the art of soap opera to a brand new generation. Led by award-winning actress Juliet Mills, the series aired for 9 years, ending in 2009. Now Mills and a few of her co-stars have taken to social media to tease an exciting new project.
James Hyde, who played police chief Sam Bennet on the soap opera, posted a video on his Instagram account. The video opened up with Mills saying, “Hello everyone, I think it’s high time and long overdue that we get a few Passions people together again.”
The actress then played into her Passions character Tabitha’s role as the resident witch and teased, “So I’m going to magic a couple of my favorite Passions people right here into my garden, right in front of your very eyes.”

It was then that Hyde and Rodney Van Johnson appeared on screen. “Welcome, my two favorite hunks. I’ve just magic-ed you here. Have a little sip of my brew.” Mills said before handing the two a drink. The actors then started referring to each other by their respective character names. “T.C.?” Hyde asked, “Sam?” Johnson responded.
Mills then states “I think it’s time we stirred up some trouble. Let’s see if we can a few of those other deadbeats from Passions in here. Let’s plot and plan. We’ve got a scheme.”
Then text came on screen teasing an upcoming project, saying “Return to Harmony”, referencing the fictional town that Passions took place in.
Yesterday Hyde teased something was in the works when he posted a photo of himself with Mills and Johnson. The actor captioned the photo, “Got to go and have lunch and collaborate with my 2 fellow #nbcpassions actors and friends. Stay tuned more to come. Juliet Mills Rodney Van Johnson.”
While no more details of this project were shared yet.
