Kelly Clarkson was spotted in public for the first time after the death of her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock.
The Grammy-winning singer, 43, was photographed arriving at LAX on Saturday, August 23, wearing all-black attire, as seen in pictures obtained by Daily Mail.
Kelly has yet to break her silence after Brandon died at age 48 on August 7 following a silent three-year melanoma battle. However, she issued a statement regarding the late music manager’s health one day prior, while postponing her Las Vegas residency shows.
“While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children’s father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them,” the Voice coach wrote in the August 6 statement. “I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows and I so appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding.”
Kelly and Brandon share two kids: daughter River Rose and son Remington (Remy) Alexander.

Brandon’s family confirmed his death the following day, sharing that he “passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family.”
Six days later, Brandon’s family released his obituary and gave a glimpse inside his private life while he quietly battled with cancer.
“He was the son, brother, father, friend, and love you prayed to have in your life,” the memorial read. “Above all, he was a dreamer. His passion for his dreams changed lives, whether he was working in Nashville or Montana. He changed lives. He changed communities. He changed us all.”
In the obituary, Brandon’s family also broke the news thatBrittney Marie Jones, Kelly’s former assistant, was his “beautiful and loving partner in life and business.”
The American Idol winner and Brandon tied the knot in October 2013. After nearly seven years of marriage, the pair separated in June 2020 and finalized their divorce in March 2022.
