Luke Combs may have seen success on the music charts last year when he covered Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car,” but now it’s his turn to have a music superstar take a crack at his music.

Kelly Clarkson took to the stage on her eponymous talk show to cover a song by the “Beautiful Crazy” singer during her popular Kellyoke segment, and gauging by his reaction, she knocked it out of the park.

On Nov. 21, the Instagram account for The Kelly Clarkson Show posted a clip of Clarkson singing Combs’ song “Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma” with the caption “Come wrangle this Twister 🌪️,” a nod to the song’s placement on the soundtrack of the 2024 summer blockbuster Twisters.

Combs commented on the video, calling Clarkson’s powerful cover of the song “Unreal!!!” with hundreds of people liking the comment. Fans chimed in, asking Combs to collaborate with the singer, with one fan writing, “@lukecombs next we need you on the show or in the studio to sing it together😭,” and another writing “@lukecombs duet please!!!!!!🙏.”

Others teased the eight-time Grammy nominee, commenting, “@lukecombs I believe she outdid ya on that one!”

Plenty of fans praised Clarkson’s vocal prowess, writing, “She must be the most talented person this world has seen since… I don’t even know who. There’s no one like Kelly 🙌.”

Another fan agreed, commenting, “Absolutely phenomenal!! She can sing ANYTHING 👏🔥🙌,” while a third chimed in to tell the American Idol alum “You can sing anything🔥🔥.”

This isn’t the first time that Clarkson has shown her appreciation for artists on the Twisters soundtrack—she’s duetted with Jelly Roll and Miranda Lambert on her talk show, and covered songs by artists like Shania Twain and Benson Boone on the program in the past.
