Despite falling ill, the 31-year-old country pop singer kept her concert date instead of canceling or postponing the show. In one fan-recorded video that later circulated on social media, Ballerini was filmed explaining that she is “a perfectionist” with a “crippling fear of letting people down.”
“So I’m going to give you absolutely every ounce of everything I have,” she concluded.
Fans who shared other clips from the concert online marveled at the “Miss Me More” singer’s commitment to the show and her fans.
“I just wanted to hug her so bad, you can tell she gave it everything,” wrote one fan on TikTok as they posted a clip on the video-sharing platform.
