In celebration of his 70th birthday, Kevin Costner treated his fans to a throwback photo showing the two-time Oscar winner long before his acting career began.
The Yellowstone star was a young boy in the resurfaced snapshot, which he posted on Instagram on Saturday, Jan. 18. The picture showed Costner flashing a big smile at the camera while dressed up as a cowboy, complete with a cowboy hat on his head and a holster on his hip.

After thanking his fans for wishing him a happy 70th birthday, Costner addressed the baby photo, writing, “If you can believe it, this is me. Costner’s country rock band, Modern West, also left a comment on his baby photo, dubbing him a “Cowboy from day one.” The band shared a separate tribute to the actor on its official Instagram account that featured a video of the Horizon: An American Saga director singing and playing guitar.
“Birthday champagne is in order for @kevincostner! 🥂,” the band wrote. “God decided to dole out a few extra heaps of talent on January 18th 1955. We’re lucky you share that talent with us and with the world!”
