Kimpton Brand to Open 283-Key Hotel in Doha, Qatar

IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of Kimpton Al Rowda Doha, a 283-key hotel scheduled to open in mid-2026 in the center of Doha.

IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement for the Kimpton Al Rowda Doha, marking the introduction of the Kimpton brand in Qatar. The property is planned to open in mid-2026 and will be located in a downtown area of Doha, close to commercial hubs, cultural landmarks, and major attractions.

The hotel will offer 283 guest rooms, suites, and apartments. Plans for the property include five dining and lounge venues, among them a rooftop bar with panoramic views. The hotel will be pet-friendly, in line with Kimpton’s established practices.

The signing represents a conversion of an existing property into a Kimpton-branded hotel. The development is part of IHG’s expansion of its luxury and lifestyle portfolio in the Gulf region. The Kimpton Al Rowda Doha follows the brand’s recent opening of Kimpton KAFD in Riyadh and precedes upcoming openings in Dubai and Jeddah, as stated by IHG.

IHG currently operates eight hotels in Qatar across five brands: InterContinental, voco, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, and Staybridge Suites. The addition of Kimpton Al Rowda Doha will expand the company’s presence in the country.
