Kimpton plans to open a new hotel in Napa Valley, California, in 2028, featuring 123 guest rooms across two buildings.

Kimpton, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, has announced plans to open a new hotel in Napa Valley, California, by 2028. The hotel will be located between First Street and the Napa River, near Main Street and the Oxbow Public Market. This development marks Kimpton’s entry into the Napa Valley market, a region known for its wineries and scenic landscapes.

The planned hotel will feature 123 guest rooms and will be housed in two four-story buildings. The location is designed to offer guests easy access to local attractions, including shopping, dining, and wine tasting. The hotel will include amenities such as a rooftop bar and eatery, a central courtyard, a garden patio, an outdoor spa, and contrast therapy studios.

Guests at the Kimpton Napa Hotel will have access to the brand’s standard offerings, including morning coffee and tea service, evening refreshments, and a pet-friendly policy with no extra charge for pets. The hotel aims to provide a blend of hospitality and culinary experiences, with a focus on local fare and views from its rooftop facilities.

Stratus Development Partners, a real estate firm based in Newport Beach, California, will oversee the development of the hotel. This project will be the first IHG hotel in Stratus Development Partners’ portfolio, which currently includes six properties in the Americas.

The Napa Valley hotel is part of Kimpton’s broader expansion strategy, which includes nearly 150 open and pipeline properties globally. Other recent and upcoming openings in the Americas include locations in Texas, California, and Hawaii.
