Latin America’s hotel construction industry has experienced a robust recovery, according to the Q4 2024 Latin America Construction Pipeline Trend Report by Lodging Econometrics (LE). The data shows a significant growth in the region’s total construction pipeline, marking an increase of 15% by projects and 13% by rooms year-over-year (YOY).

Mexico, Brazil, and the Dominican Republic are at the forefront of this trend, with each country recording a significant increase in hotel construction projects. Mexico leads with a record-breaking 248 projects/38,104 rooms, reflecting a 10% increase in projects and a 7% increase in rooms YOY. Brazil follows with 106 projects/14,799 rooms, up by 23% in projects and 9% in rooms YOY. The Dominican Republic also achieved record highs with 66 projects/16,908 rooms, showing substantial increases of 38% by projects and 31% by rooms YOY.

This data reflects a promising and strong recovery in Latin America’s hotel development sector, signaling a positive trend for the region’s hotel industry.
