Mom Miranda Stout shared this sweet video of her daughter trying on her brand new glasses for the first time, and I’m not sure I’ve ever seen someone so filled with joy just at the prospect of finally seeing everything (and everyone) around her clearly.
It’s like as soon as those cute glasses appear on her face, so does that giant smile, so it’s no wonder her mom said she counts it among her favorite memories. She even started cackling, she was so tickled to be putting those glasses on.
“We kind of thought she couldn’t see very well,” her mom admitted in the video. “It turned out she could barely see at all and what she could see was likely double vision.”

But once she put those glasses on, the magic started to happen. That expression her face as she takes in the world around her really is something—and so is the excitement we can hear in the background from her family.
By the end of the video, she’s realized that she can take the glasses on and off her face and compare the difference, and apparently, that’s very funny for her.
In the comments, Mom shared another emotional moment that had happened in their family since her daughter got her glasses. “I broke down crying at the dinner table one night when she looked outside and said ‘mommy, it’s raining!!!!’ And I realized she had never seen it before,” she wrote.
Now, her daughter will be able to see it all… and if she keeps moving through life with so much laughter and joy the way she is in this video, I’m sure she’s going to love exploring the world with her new set of eyes.
