Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, and producer October London is taking his sound in a new direction.

Known for his smooth vocals and soul storytelling, the Indiana native is introducing fans to a country alter-ego named Sam Nash, marking his official entry into the genre.

London, a key collaborator of Snoop Dogg and an artist signed to Death Row Records, has been largely known for bridging classic R&B with contemporary influences.

His debut album The Rebirth of Marvin earned praise for its homage to soul greats, while more recent projects have showcased his versatility film and TV — including his appearances on NBC’s The Voice.

Now, London says he’s ready to challenge genre expectations. Last month, he revealed his new persona, an evolution that reflects both his range and his willingness to experiment.

“Whether performing solo or alongside iconic collaborators, October London continues to make history across multiple genres,” a press release said.

London recently partnered with Dennis Ashley Jr. and Dennis “Dash” Ashley III to launch New London Films, a Los Angeles-based TV and film production company formed in collaboration with Dash Media Partners.

The joint venture aims to develop “cinematic experiences that merge timeless storytelling with contemporary culture, rooted in authenticity, nostalgia, and innovation,” per Deadline.

Beyond music and film, London has also ventured into business with a whisky and cigar line and co-created Doggyland, a children’s multimedia music project with Snoop Dogg. His song “Eternity” was featured on The Color Purple soundtrack in 2023.
