Madonna’s brother, Anthony Ciccone, dies at 66: ‘Family remains’ – National
Madonna’s eldest brother, Anthony Ciccone, died at the age of 66, his family said Saturday.
The announcement was made on Instagram by musician Joe Henry, who is married to Melanie Ciccone, Madonna’s sister.
“My brother-in-law, Anthony Gerardo Ciccone, stepped off this plane last night. I’ve known him since he was 15. The spring of our lives in Michigan.” So many years have passed.
Anthony was a complicated character. And God knows: We got tangled up for a moment, as true brothers can. But I loved him and understood him better than I sometimes forgive,” the post said Told.

No details about the death were provided. According to public records, Ciccone recently resided in Michigan, where he and his seven siblings were raised.
In recent years, national news media reported that Ciccone was living on the streets and in rehab facilities. Henry’s post announcing Ciccone’s death gave a difficult nod, stating that “the troubles are gone” and that the family remains and is “reachable” across the table.
Madonna “liked” the post on Instagram, but the pop music star declined to comment.
