Madrid’s hotel industry achieved record performance levels in August, attributed to the ESC Congress, according to preliminary data from CoStar.

In August 2025, the city’s hotel occupancy rate reached 65.3%, marking a 4.8% increase from the previous year. The average daily rate (ADR) rose by 17.3% to EUR143.11, while revenue per available room (RevPAR) increased by 23.0% to EUR93.52.

On 30 August, the second night of the ESC Congress, daily performance metrics experienced significant spikes. Occupancy reached 89.8%, ADR was EUR251.29, and RevPAR was EUR225.55. The ADR recorded was the second highest for the year, and the RevPAR was the highest since 26 October 2024, coinciding with a major football match between Real Madrid and Barcelona.
