Mandarin Oriental plans to open a 131-room hotel in Calvià, Mallorca, in spring 2026, marking its first property on the island.

Mandarin Oriental announced it will open a new hotel, Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, in Calvià, Mallorca, in spring 2026. The property will be the brand’s first hotel on the island.

The hotel will feature 131 rooms and suites, including 26 suites, nine casitas (comprising four suites and five rooms), 19 rooms and suites with plunge pools, and three rooftop suites with private pools. The development is located near Puerto Portals and will offer access to two coves along the Mediterranean coastline.

Dining options at the hotel will include several restaurants and bars. Confirmed venues are Matsuhisa, offering Nikkei-style cuisine; Leña by Dani García, focused on steakhouse fare; Jacinta, serving Mexican dishes; Leppoc, with Mediterranean and Levantine cuisine; Sobretaula, an alfresco tapas restaurant; and Aubara, a poolside dining venue.

The resort will also feature a wellness facility with nine treatment cabins, couples’ suites, a relaxation room, and a range of treatments incorporating local and Oriental practices. Additional amenities will include two outdoor pools for adults, an outdoor children’s pool, an indoor pool, a fitness centre, and heat and water facilities, including a hydro-massage pool, steam rooms, cold plunges, and aromatherapy showers.

Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra will incorporate local materials and design elements inspired by Mallorca’s landscape and traditions. The property will also display works by local and international artists in both guest rooms and public areas.

The opening of Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra is scheduled for spring 2026.
