Manitoba police watchdog investigating after assault allegations from Brandon man – Winnipeg

Manitoba Police Observers are investigating several allegations of injuries sustained during arrests in Brandon last year.
On October 15, the Brandon Police Department said they went to Fifth Avenue in Brandon and fled the residence when the man arrived.
Officers said they found the man and said the use of force occurred during his arrest and he was taken to the Brandon Regional Health Center where he received treatment and was remanded into custody.

Police said the man contacted him on February 21 and said he was assaulted by officers during his arrest.
The Civil Affairs Director has determined that it is in the public interest to investigate the incident.
