Toronto Maple Leafs goalie Joseph Woll learned a valuable lesson on Thursday night: if you go to a concert with Mitch Marner, there’s a pretty good chance you’ll end up on stage.

With a few days off in the team’s schedule, Marner and Woll opted to check out the Kygo concert at Scotiabank Arena.

Late in the night, the Norwegian DJ brought up Marner and Woll to try their hand at singing his hit song “Stargazing.”

While they’re definitely better hockey players than singers, Woll isn’t without a bit of musical talent.

He’s been known in the NHL for his piano abilities. There’s perhaps a bit of irony to one of the team’s star players leading a sing-along in their arena just a day after team captain Auston Matthews said Leafs fans were too quiet during a Ryan Reaves’ fight.

But it seems like Marner’s probably just up for a good time, any place, any time.

As previously mentioned, Marner has a habit of showing off in front of a crowd with his guests.

Back in 2023, Marner and his now-wife Stephanie were pulled on stage by Canadian country and pop icon Shania Twain during her show at Budweiser Stage.

The duo then shared a dance to “Up!” and Twain gave the Leafs star a shoutout for his Marner Assist Fund charity work, which she had partnered with for the show.

The Leafs head to Ottawa this weekend for a date with the Senators but have just one game in the six days following that.

So we’re not saying that we’re expecting Mitch Marner to be singing “In Too Deep” on stage with Sum 41 when they come to Scotiabank Arena for a series of dates in Toronto next week, but if it does come to fruition, you shouldn’t be totally surprised.
