Marriott International, Inc. and Delonix Group have signed eight agreements as part of their long-term cooperation that began in January 2024. These agreements include three announced in May 2024 and five newly signed hotels, aiding in the expansion of Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio brand in mainland China.
The five new agreements under the franchise model in partnership with Delonix group are for the Grand House Hotel in Shaoxing, Grand New Century Hotel in Wenzhou, Wonderland Resort in Shangrao Sanqingshan, Grand House in Jiangyin, and Grand New Century Resort in Changxing. These hotels are expected to open between 2025 and 2026.
Moreover, two of the first three hotels signed in May 2024 have officially opened. These include the Grand New Century Hotel in Hangzhou Boao and the Wonderland Resort in Hangzhou Jiande. Both these establishments aim to offer unique hotel experiences for guests, featuring captivating designs and vibrant social scenes.
Gavin Yu, Chief Development Officer, Greater China, Marriott International, highlighted that the swift launch of eight projects within the same year demonstrates the recognition of their market insights, brand value, and ability to deliver strong returns. Donglin Li, President of Greater China, Delonix Group, echoed this sentiment, expressing confidence in their cooperation and their plans to launch more high-quality hotel projects.
The long-term cooperation agreement between Marriott International and Delonix Group was reached in January 2024. It focuses on expanding Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio brand in mainland China. The companies anticipate that at least 100 properties could become part of the Tribute Portfolio in the coming years.
The recently signed hotels will introduce the Tribute Portfolio brand to five scenic destinations: Shaoxing, Wenzhou, Shangrao, Jiangyin, and Changxing. Each hotel offers unique features, such as stunning views, convenient access to local attractions, and design elements that blend modern aesthetics with local cultural and natural elements.
The Grand New Century Hotel in Hangzhou Boao and the Wonderland Resort in Hangzhou Jiande, which have already opened, are now available for booking through Marriott International and Delonix Group’s owned channels. Both these hotels aim to provide guests with independent and unique experiences, complemented by the local surroundings and aesthetic design.
