Trailborn Hotels & Resorts has become a founding member of the new Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy, expanding its portfolio in key outdoor destinations across the United States.

Trailborn Hotels & Resorts has joined the newly launched Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy as a founding member. This collaboration allows Trailborn to maintain its independent operations while benefiting from Marriott’s extensive global network. The partnership aims to enhance Trailborn’s visibility and provide Marriott Bonvoy members with access to Trailborn’s expanding portfolio of properties in prominent outdoor locations.

Trailborn’s current portfolio includes five properties: Trailborn Rocky Mountains and Trailborn Rocky Mountains Outpost in Estes Park, Colorado; Trailborn Highlands in North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains; Trailborn Surf & Sound in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina; and Trailborn Grand Canyon in Williams, Arizona. These properties are strategically located near popular outdoor destinations, providing guests with access to a range of outdoor activities.

The company plans to expand further in 2026 with the addition of two new locations. A 93-room hotel will be developed on the Mendocino Coast in Northern California, involving the restoration of a historic landmark. This site will feature the largest event space in the area, multiple dining options, and gathering areas overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Redwoods. Additionally, a 203-room ski-in/ski-out retreat is planned for Jackson Hole, Wyoming. This development will involve the renovation of the former Snow King Resort, including upgraded accommodations, a refurbished spa, a new restaurant, and 30,000 square feet of meeting space.

Trailborn’s inclusion in the Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy coincides with the launch of the Drop Pin Challenge, a promotional event encouraging travelers to explore outdoor locations to collect Marriott Bonvoy points. The initiative is supported by TV personality Dylan Efron, who will help promote the challenge.
