Marriott International has announced the signing of 100 agreements for City Express by Marriott properties in the United States and Canada, with six already opened in 2025 and four more expected by year-end.

Marriott International has achieved a milestone with 100 signed agreements for its City Express by Marriott brand in the United States and Canada. This development comes as the company continues to expand its midscale hotel offerings in key markets across the region.

In 2025, six City Express by Marriott properties have already opened, with an additional four expected to open by year-end. This expansion reflects the growing demand for midscale hotels in North America.

The City Express by Marriott brand, which originated in the Caribbean and Latin America region, is being introduced to new markets. Recently, Marriott announced plans to bring the brand to the Asia Pacific region, excluding China, with two properties planned for Osaka, Japan.

The latest signings in the U.S. and Canada include several properties in strategic locations. The City Express by Marriott Kissimmee, near Orlando, will feature 197 rooms and provide access to local entertainment venues. The City Express by Marriott Dulles, positioned near Dulles Airport and close to Washington, D.C., will undergo a complete renovation before joining the brand, offering 90 rooms.

In Texas, the City Express by Marriott Amarillo will serve the Texas Panhandle market with 73 rooms, catering to road-trip and regional travelers. The City Express by Marriott Sandusky, near Lake Erie, will offer 50 guestrooms and be close to family attractions, including water and amusement parks.

In Nevada, the City Express by Marriott Carson City will offer 86 rooms, providing convenient access to business and leisure destinations in the state capital.

Marriott’s strategy focuses on expanding City Express by Marriott in well-connected markets, aiming to meet the needs of value-conscious travelers. The brand’s properties typically include modern guestrooms, complimentary breakfast, high-speed internet, and amenities suitable for both business and leisure travelers.

This expansion is part of Marriott’s broader strategy to scale its regional brands and achieve global reach, further integrating the City Express by Marriott brand into its portfolio and loyalty platform, Marriott Bonvoy.
