Marriott Expands Presence in China with Two New Hotels in Shenzhen

Marriott International has partnered with Shum Yip Holdings Company Limited to launch The Luxury Collection and AC Hotels in Shenzhen, China. The Luxury Collection Hotel is expected to open in November 2028, highlighting the destination’s spirit with a luxurious twist. The AC Hotel by Marriott Shenzhen North Station aims to offer guests a modern design and seamless experience.

Both hotels are strategically located near Shenzhen North Railway Station, providing easy access to 20 high-speed railway lines and Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport. This location makes them an ideal choice for both business and leisure travelers.

The Luxury Collection Hotel, designed by Shenzhen Cheng Chung Design, will feature 173 guest rooms and suites, an all-day dining venue, a Chinese restaurant, and a Lobby Lounge. The hotel will also house indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness center, and conference and event facilities.

The AC Hotel by Marriott Shenzhen North Station plans to offer 207 guest rooms and suites, an all-day dining restaurant, the brand’s signature AC Lounge, and a 24-hour AC Store for snacks and beverages. This hotel will share conference and event facilities with the Luxury Collection Hotel in Shenzhen.

Yuwen Wang, President of Shum Yip Holdings Company Limited, expressed excitement about the collaboration, hoping that these new hotels will enhance Shenzhen’s reputation as a global destination. This collaboration contributes to Marriott International’s robust pipeline in Shenzhen, which operates over 20 properties across 13 brands.
