Marriott International’s Luxury Group and auction house Sotheby’s are extending their partnership following the success of their initial collaborations earlier this year. This partnership is focused on offering exclusive experiences for the Luxury Sales event in New York this December.

The Luxury Group and Sotheby’s are set to auction two unique experiences, combining high-quality hospitality with exceptional treasures from Sotheby’s auctions. The first, “Geneva Grandmasters: A Watchmaking Odyssey Curated by The Ritz-Carlton,” offers watch enthusiasts an exclusive opportunity for a horology immersion at Geneva’s Ritz-Carlton Hotel de la Paix. This includes a hands-on workshop with watch brand Girard-Perregaux, access to limited-edition timepieces, and a private culinary experience at the brand’s ancestral home, Villa Girard-Perregaux in La Chaux-de-Fonds. This experience will be presented in Sotheby’s Important Watches sale on December 6th.

The second experience, “A Taste of France: An Epicurean Voyage Curated by The Luxury Collection,” allows guests to explore France’s culinary treasures. The journey begins at the Prince de Galles, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Paris, before taking guests on a guided day trip to Champagne Lallier’s historic Maison in Aÿ for a tasting of its latest harvests. An afternoon tea with Global Explorer, esteemed chef, and artist Laila Gohar follows this. This experience is currently open for online bidding until December 10th.

The collaboration will also feature curated events and exclusive content when Sotheby’s exhibitions open to the public on December 5th. The partnership is expected to grow worldwide, with further offerings from the Luxury Group and Sotheby’s anticipated in 2025.

George Hammer, Global Head of Luxury Marketing at Marriott International, stated that the expanded partnership with Sotheby’s reflects a shared belief in the synergy of tangible and intangible luxury. Eleonore Dethier, Sotheby’s Global Head of Partnerships, described the collaboration as a unique fusion of Sotheby’s expertise in curating exceptional luxury collectibles and the Luxury Group’s approach to hospitality.
